We’ve been having problems with the AT&T tempered glass screen protector breaking frequently. It is supposed to come with a lifetime replacement policy, though it wasn’t really mentioned at time of purchase that a fee ($8) would apply for every replacement. Is there a cap to the replacement fees? It just seems crazy to be paying $8 each time on top of the initial $40+ purchase, particularly when they are breaking pretty frequently with no seeming cause.

Warranties on screen protectors are filled by the manufacturer, not AT&T. This is why you should always read your warranty.
The manufacturer will replace your screen protector but they charge you for shipping. You could probably get a three-pack off of Amazon for less with free shipping.

It is an ATT branded screen protector. It literally says "No Hassle Replacement" right on the packaging. It was sold to me, (and I'm sure AlexandraRS and every other person asking about it in these threads), as a super easy replacement. You walk into an ATT store and they replace it. Except that seems to be impossible. One store is out of stock, the other says you have to do it online.
Wierd that it was sold to me just three months ago, though, right? Oh, and there seems to be no way for a consumer to verify what stores might be participating. So basically every store just makes something up, and I'll guarantee it is because that store takes the loss on the replacement. It is absolute (Edited per community guidelines) and probably fraud on the part of At&t.
And yes, I can do it online, but I don't want to. I don't want to register with Bodyguardz, I don't want to wait and pay shipping, and then get charged if my broken screen doesn't make it back to them in 60 days. None of that was part of the pitch, not was the $8 replacement fee.
And you continute to spread misinformation in every thread I've looked at regarding this At&t branded glass screen protector.
Shame on you lizdance40, at&t shill.

Does it also say, right on the packaging, that a you walk into an ATT store and they replace it?

Yes, that is exactly what it says. Below is a photo.
I will admit I'm guilty of making some assumptions as I was a little heated coming from the now third at&t store.
"No Hassle" - thought that would mean no hassle.
"In Store" - thought that meant in a physical store.
Also, all of you keep pointing to links for Bodyguardz replacement policies, which, while admittedly similar and an At&t partner, are not a stand in for what is written on the product itself or in the product's paperwork, which gives the option of "In Store".
You can see a summary of that at :
https://www.att.com/support/article/wireless/KM1284372/
Again - I made a foolish assumption on what "Go to an At&t Store" meant. My mistake.
My guess, judging on other threads is that the next reply from someone will be something along the lines of "the manufacturer of the screen protector provides the replacement". Except this is a branded At&t product, one of the many logos being just a few inches lower on the package than the other picture in this thread.
All them At&t logos make is easy to market that At&t would stand behind it, but doesn't seem like people have much luck with that. Great sales pitch though, right?

I don't know why At&t uses highfalutin terms like 'partner'. They all do the same with Asurion. They probably get a kickback in exchange for the death star label on the package.
But in the end you are no better off purchasing this product then you are purchasing a 3-pack of the best rated screen protector off Amazon for $10. And I'll bet it's not bodygardz brand.
Buy the one with easy install, because AT&T won't install a protector you bought elsewhere.

The web page does say:
Participating locations only. See store for details.
Did you call or visit more than 2 stores?

@smashyIt is time go someplace else to buy screen protector, like OtterBox. You buy online, and it better quality, seems more guarantee it fits to screen.

In the photo of the rear of the screen protector box, there is an asterisk after where it says they will replace it as long as you own the device. It should say somewhere on the package what the asterisk means. What does that say?
Regarding the article you posted, it seems you have the option of getting a replacement online, but you have to register with Bodyguardz first. Have you looked at that option? It looks like they charge a S&H fee, so it’s not totally free either, but you don’t have to hunt for a “participating store”.

Bots? You have to be kidding me!!! ATT can barley get its website and forums running right. So ATT IT coding bots is really really funny.. They changed to this forum set up and it stinks and has since they did it. All of us ACE's complained about it. But saying they are bots is really really out there.
Look you can pay 8 bucks for a replacement or order a 3 pack off of amazon for the same price with the install frame and stuff to put it them on.

I would also wonder at the exact meaning of the word "redeem" here. In this context they may have meant to imply that you could return the product for replacement, but they could have actually meant that you can initially register the replacement warranty either in-store or online. But then when you need a replacement, they'll ship it to you.
Don't know if that was the intent there, but I could see it. I don't know if they still do this, but you had to "redeem" your rewards cards by going online and filling out a form before they would send them to you.
