    "Hungry Girl"

I decided to buy this book because I so enjoy Lisa's daily newsletter. It is filled with recipes, food product reviews and how to make correct choices to eat lightly in today's fast-food world. I love her recipes that use small PORTIONS of mixes/convience foods to make only one or two servings!! This method of cooking is truly portion-controlled and does limits the amount a person consumes in a day!I will probably use a few of her recipes but, I doubt that my husband and father-in-law would enjoy many of Lisa's recipes. The cookbook is well produced and has many great ideas for people younger than us. We just don't eat much processed food.Otherwise, I highly recommend Lisa's newsletter and cookbook. She is a dynamic and energetic young woman.

    Hungry Girl

This is an informative and fun cookbook that gives easy to read and understand recipes. It is very well compiled with easy to follow directions and per serving info on all recipes. It gives lots of good tips on foods we've all eaten at restaurants and during holidays that will really make you think the next time you order or attend a holiday function concerning sodium, fat, etc. I've received Hungry Girl tips on line for a few months and when I read about this cookbook, I wanted to try it. The only thing I don't like is that it uses some ingredients that are not easily found in the grocery store, but it also gives substitutions that can be used.

    Lisa r

I really enjoy Lisa's books and her website. Almost all of her recipes/ideas have been good. I like that they are usually easy to make, and can be changes to my or my families tastes as needed. Many people do not like that she starts out with many "packaged" products and goes from there...but I like this fact. It's really nice to be able to cut down on some time and use products out there and still make healthy choices.I also like that most of her recipes are written for 1-2 servings. I follow ww and usually make many of the recipes for myself, and sometimes for my hubby. But this allows me the option of cooking with "regular" fat/sugar foods for my husbands if he doesn't particularly like a certain item. There are a few items that I have tried that she recommends, that I do not like. But for the most part, if you can do a few trials you can find many good ideas.Read full review

Hungry Girl Cookbook Review - Weight Watchers approved

Heard about this cookbook in the Weight Watchers community boards. I like it.Most of the recipes are for one, so it's great for a dieter. (usually the whole family isn't on a diet, and also if you don't like a particular recipe, you don't have a lot of leftovers).I've tried 2 recipes so far, and they're both very good. A tuna wrap made with ff mayo (and I usually hate ff mayo) and a taco salad. Also, the book is interesting just to read thru!

This book is a must have for anyone losing weight!

I love this book! I am on Weight Watchers, and a big downfall of mine is sweets. This book gives lots of secrets on easy ways to make sweets low fat and high fiber. My personal favorite is the brownies. The author recommends using Devil's Food Cake mix and a 15 oz jar of pumpkin (nothing else). I tried these tonight, and I honestly can't say for sure rather I like these better or the regular version. My husband even liked them, and he doesn't normally like low fat anything! (quick side note: get cash back on ALL your eBay purchases, for details, see my Me page)Another great source of recipes and tips is the Hungry Girl website. (You can find it by doing a search on google for "Hungry Girl"). They have many great recipes and you can sign up for a daily newsletter that provides all kinds of information. Also, Amazon has an exclusive PDF version of a 3 day menu from the author. This has wonderful recipes you can try before you buy.In short, this book provides many healthy recipes for any person or family. Thank you for reading my review.
